| View from the Pier, Red Hook, Brooklyn There are so many great day getaways popping up all over the NYC area. On Saturday I got to explore one of my favorite spots in Brooklyn - Red Hook. Expect great views, a relaxed atmosphere, fun shopping at Fairway Markets, and a great winery on the waterfront. Get there and back using the free IKEA shuttle on Saturdays and Sundays! |

| Newport Green Park, Jersey City
Meanwhile, over in Jersey City take the PATH to Newport and you'll be a short distance from the new and fabulous Newport Green Park. There's a 'manmade' beach that is relaxing and clean and don't forget this park also offers an amazing water park for kids!
