| Lucky Glass Pigs from Austria |
Because of the Austrian influence in my life now ;) I have come to love the yearly tradition of Bleigiessen or 'Lead Pouring' to ring in the new year! It's a wonderfully fun process of placing good luck charms of lead on a flat spoon and letting them melt down from the heat of a candle.
After they've melted you pour them into a cold glass of water and interpret the shape that is created. My first pouring totally looks like vegetables don't you think?
